BNM Filmalysis of Mausam

Mausam, the film which was in news since last one year has finally released. It could certainly be called a big release. The film was expected to create a big buzz when it's release neared, but nothing special happened. Though, some critics found the promos quite good.

The film is a story of Harinder Singh aka Harry (Shahid) and Aayat (Sonam) which has the pretty old Hindu-Muslim love story as central theme. Harry is wasting his time in Mallukot. Where he meets Aayat, a girl who has came to live in Mallukot due to violence in Kashmir. They fall in love. Aayat suddenly leaves Mallukot and goes back to Kashmir without informing Harry. Meanwhile, Harry joins IAF. Seven years later, they both meet again in Scotland and are pleasured to meet. Once again, the love spreads. But now, due to Kargil war, Harry has to leave immediately. They again get separated. Now, once again they meet in Ahmedabad. Here, the communal riots prove to be the villain of the love story. Ending isn't quite new.

The film was expected to be a classic love story. But, it turned out to be quite usual. The weakest points of the film are that How many times coincidence will occur and re-unite the couple?? Moreover, The film has tooooo many scenes. Overall, the film is a love story which is NOT MEANT FOR ENTERTAINMENT.  Shahid is good in his role. Sonam is better then her previous films. If you are a genuine film lover, and want to see Mausam for that, LEAVE IT. Though, all those who like the typical love-story, WATCH IT!! You'll love the way destiny makes two lovers meet. You can take your loved one to see mausam.
