So, the BIG film (We must say it) has had BIG collections being it able to be a SUPERHIT. The film , has got good reviews, has had good collections, what's more a film wants?
The film collected 9.8 crores nett on Saturday and 11 crores on Sunday making it's weekend total to a blazing 28.8 crores! The film has proved to open better than most films released this year. (Leave biggies like Ra.One, Ready, Bodyguard or Singham). The film will surely earn 50 crores (Being a hit) and it may cross the 70 crore mark to be a SuperHit! Dream run for Vidya!

OH! We must say that this was our expression seeing first day collections of The Dirty Picture. I mean 8 crore guys? The film's total budget is very less than films like Rockstar or Desi Boyz. The film has grossed very good. Desi Boyz collected less than this amount. The film seems to cross 50 crores . if it does, a hit. If the film grosses 10-15 crores more, Super Hit. Less possibility. But, impossible's nothing.!

So, the big film releases! This one was one of awaited films this year. So, now we are here! The film has done average performance till noon. The average occupancy is about 6-70% which is better than Desi Boyz. Moreover, the film has proved to be a fantastic one! The film is expected to earn about 8 crores today and it may cross 50 crore mark. The film is almost sure to gross more than Desi Boyz. As the fil is good, we must change our expectations and here is what we expect the film to earn.
DAY 1:- 8 crores
WEEKEND:- 24 Crores
WEEK 1:- 33 Crores
WEEK2:- 13 Crores
TOTAL:- 52 Crores

'The Dirty Picture' is a movie which didn't make too much of buzz while it's shooting. But now, once the film's promos are released, this one is in demand. With critically acclaimed actors like Vidya Blan and Naseerudin Shah, and director like Milan Lutharia, the film promises good content. Moreover, the bold avatar of Vidya has also gathered audience.
It is known that the film is based on life of Silk Smitha, a very bold south actress. This points ensure that a certain audience surely will see the film. Bold films like Murder, Jism and even the Dirty Picture are given a good response in single screen theaters. This way, we can say that this film can do some miracles.
But, some points that discourage the film are that just now Ra.One released. Soon 15 days after Ra.One's release, Rockstar released now Desi Boyz is releasing tomorrow. So, people have spent too much after movies recently. Even the film is very close to releases like Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl and the big Don 2. So these points discourage the film.
What we think regarding this film is that it will be an above average grosser or probably a semi-hit. here's what we expect the film to earn.
