This shows that first half was a mixed half where 66% of films became flops while only 6.25% films managed to be hits. We will come tomorro with 2nd half films and verdicts. To give a glimpse, total 59 films released in that half including blockbusters like Ra.One and Bodyguard and most probably Don 2!

Thus, totally 107 big Hindi films released during the year. ( Small films like "Hair is Falling" are not counted) and among them total :-

Among the films, the month of July proved to be the best where total 9 films released and only 4 of the flopped at the box-office. Other films iclude 1 Average (Bbudaah..), 2 Hits (Murder 2, Delhi Belly), a superhit (ZNMD) and a blockbuster of course (Singham).
September proved to be worst of all with total 14 films releasing and only an average (Sahib Biwi..) and a hit (MBKD) in it . The other 12 films flopped at box-office.
Month of August gave highest no. of films (15) while March and December gave only 3 films each.
So, this year, we saw less number of hits. But, we saw 6 films making it to the Top 30 of all time which is a great achievement for film industry this year.
Bodyguard topped the list with nett gross of 142 Crores while Ready followed by grossing 121 Crores. Ra.One grossed 118 crores to be the next while Singham followed by grossing 98 crores fifth film was ZNMD grossing about 76 crores. Though it may not be in the Top 5 as Don 2 is all set to release. So, it is sure to gross 100 Crores which will make it in the list. Let's see the film's position in the list!
